Dr. Quicke and the Dead

Warning: this game demonstrates autopsy procedure and contains images of external and internal human anatomy, which may be disturbing to some viewers and players; viewer and player discretion is advised. 

Play as Dr. Quicke, a forensic pathologist, and perform the steps of a basic autopsy. Use the scalpel, saw, and knife to perform the Y incision, open the skull, and examine and dissect the internal organs and brain. Answer questions about the autopsy findings and conclude with the cause and manner of death. 

This is a brief demo of this game with two playable autopsy studies. Future expansions of this game will go deeper into principles of forensic pathology and medical examiner investigations, including examination of traumatic findings, ballistics demonstrations, microscopy, radiology, and forensic scene investigation.

The steps are as follows:

1. Perform the Y- incision using the scalpel

2. Open the ribs using the bonesaw

3. Examine, weigh, and slice the organs using the scale and the knife. The computer monitor will record the organ weights. 

4. Open the scalp with the scalpel and the skull with the bonesaw

5. Examine, weigh, and slice the brain

6. Return to the computer monitors and answer questions regarding the autopsy findings.

Grab objects and select buttons using the trigger button and move through the room either by walking or using the controller joysticks.
